Kolhapur Medical and HealthCare Camp - 2012 DAY 1 (STUDENTS)

Kolhapur Medical and HealthCare Camp - 2012 DAY 1 (STUDENTS)

Hariom Dear Friends

THIS NOTE WILL COVER DAY 1 of the CAMP and only the STUDENTS SECTION ( as PART 1) while the VILLAGERS SECTION of DAY 1 will covered in NEXT NOTE (PART 2).
THE NOTE on DAY 2 of the camp will covered as PART 3

Kolhapur Medical and Healthcare Camp2012 was a great experience. Day 1 i.e 18th Feb 2012 was one of one of the most memorable day. When we reached the Camp-Site P.P Nandaai and P.P Suchitdada were already there waiting to welcome all of us. What a morning !!!

The CAMP started exactly at 8.45 am with prayers by P.P Nandaai. All volunteers joined the prayer - 800 from Mumbai, 150 from Pune and more than 1000 from Kolhapur and nearby kendras.

The Camp was spread across an area of about 1 lac sqft with tents (mandaps) made for different sections.

The students were first to arrive at the site. The transport facility for the students was arranged by our organisation.
They were lead by their school teachers. They were greeted at the gate by the volunteers by giving them caps ( for protection from direct heat) and biscuit packets (a supplement in case they are hungry and to maintain the sugar level) . The students were welcomed by applying NAAM on their foreheads.

The students were then taken to the students Medical Checkup area where the students were thoroughly checked by a qualified team of doctors. This included dental checkup as well. The students were then given medicines if required and tonic bottles which would give them the essential iron supplement.
After the check up and tonics the students were taken to the STUDENTS DISTRIBUTION AREA where they were given 2 sets of school uniform, slippers as footwear, candle boxes, match boxes and SHREE ANIRUDDHA GURUKSHETRAM PRASAD etc.
Every SCHOOL was given a PLAYING KIT which included CRICKET BATS and BALLS, STUMPS etc

The students were then directed to the ANNAPURNA PRASADAM Area where they were given a WHOLESOME UNLIMITED MEAL( the meal consisted of RICE, BHAAJI, AAMTI, SWEET and Pickle).
Special tents were erected for STUDENTS; P.P NANDAAI and P.P SUCHITDADA were monitoring the activity directly.
The food was served in steel plates so that every single student should get a homely feeling.
SHE also participated in the ANNAPURNA SEVA and served food to the students. THIS was a treat to watch and surely made many of the teachers and volunteers eyes fill with water.

THE STUDENTS fully content then said HARIOM and left the CAMP-SITE with heavy heart and with fond memories of THEIR beloved NANDAAI.

OVERALL 8700 students from 114 SCHOOLS benefited from the camp. SHREERAM !!!

Param Poojya Bapu's visit to Bookshop on 15th February 2012

All  Shraddhavans are well aware that Param Poojya Bapu while observing severe penance (Tapascharya) is also getting acquainted with the science of Homeopathy for which Dr. Kamleshsinh Suryavanshi is guiding Him. As a part his study, on Wednesday, 15th February 2012, Param Poojya Bapu visited Roy & Co; a famous bookshop selling books of Homeopathy at Princess Street, Mumbai. Dr. Suryavanshi had also accompanied Him during his visit. Param Pujya Bapu spent 3 long hours browsing and selecting various books and medicines in His study of Homeopathy. On his way back Param Poojya Bapu also paid a visit to  Dr. Suryavanshi's clinic at Lalbaug.

HARI OM
NANDI PAKSHA is the period 8 days before MAHASHIVRATRI and 8 days after MAHASHIVRATRI.
During His discourse on THURSDAY 28.02.2008, P.P. BAPU told us about NANDI PAKSHA. OM NAMAHA SHIVAY - Bapu in short explained the importance of this religious hymn. As everyone knows the hymn is dedicated to Lord Shiva. But along with it Bapu also explained the importance of another hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva, i.e SHIV PANCHAKSHAR STOTRA (ARADHANA JYOTI -62) . Bapu said that Shiv Panchakshar Stotra is practically is more beneficial to its enchanter but still for convenience of all Bapu said that both the hymns have the same positive effect on its enchanter.
Bapu had earlier asked everyone to recite these two hymns daily during the Nandi Paksha period. The reason to do so was to enable Lord Shiva to take control of our life and specifically elements related to correct decision making, avoiding confusion during the decision making process and to make us understand the unexplained or the things which we fail to understand in our practical life and as a result make mistakes. Bapu further said that even if we recite these hymns for 3 days period annually it is enough for Lord Shiva to get us on the right track.
Following are the photos of that discourse -
